Demand for Melodie’s cake creations rocketed after Ainsley Harriott judged her Royal Wedding street party cake as the best he’d ever seen, and this celebrity chef endorsement was the catalyst that swiftly turned her hobby into a successful local business.

Taking up the position of chief cake supplier to Barmouth Kitchen, the trendy boutique-style cafe in the heart of Wandsworth, was an additional platform for Mel to build up her baking reputation to the local market – and so much so that she has now decided to concentrate on private commissions alone.

Melodie’s Bakery provides a professional and personal service, from the initial enquiry through to the point of hand delivery. Meticulous attention to detail is given to every cake, cupcake and cookie.  From delicate hand crafted sugar flowers and models, to intricate piping and patterns – Melodie’s cakes will make the perfect centrepiece for your special occasion.
